Note / Additional Charges / Deviating Conditions

1.

Our offer is based on the handling of a closed transport chain by SIS Internationale Speditions-GmbH or interconnected services offered according to the freight forwarding offer. The booking of cargo space is carried out by SIS Internationale Speditions-GmbH.

2.

Deviant conditions and terms of third parties for the transport of handover shipments under FOB (Export) and takeover shipments CFR/CIF (Import) where the main transport leg by the mode of transportation is not provided by SIS Internationale Speditions-GmbH are not considered. These require individual consideration and examination. Third-party expenses and subsequent costs will be charged as per actual expenses and will be borne by the cargo.

Additional costs, for which we are not responsible, are billed separately, such as:

Storage, Demurrage / Detention caused by, for example, missing or not timely transmitted transport-specific data and documents

Waiting times at the shed/warehouse/terminal/customs office/loading/unloading point

Transport insurance

Delayed or deviating execution by the agents involved in the transport, e.g., due to a lack of availability of the mode of transportation and equipment, temporary or short-term surcharges such as low water surcharge, high water surcharge, congestion, etc., or deviating costs due to strikes, political/social unrest, etc.

Costs due to official orders (e.g., customs inspection, scanning, etc.)

Customs / EU customs duties are not included in our offers by default.

5.

To prevent additional costs, it is necessary that we have all relevant transport-specific documents, data, information, requirements, authorizations, licenses, etc., available. The complete documents, including the precise description of the goods and the commodity code, must be fully provided by the client.

6.

The toll and diesel costs specified or included in the offer may change during the validity period. In case of a statutory toll increase and changes in fuel procurement, we reserve the right to adjust the transport rates.

7.

We provide transport insurance only upon written request. You can request a customized quote.

8.

In the case of short-term cancellations, we reserve the right to charge cancellation fees.

9.

Our offer is non-binding until a firm agreement is reached, based on the rates, tariffs, and exchange rates valid today.

10.

Our offer is based on the provided data, quantities, volumes, and timeframes. In case of deviations, we reserve the right to adjust the offer.

11.

Freights and offered services are valid exclusively when the complete offered supply chain is used or the interconnected services offered according to the freight forwarding offer are utilized. Prices may vary for individual services.

Special Conditions for Sea Freight Transport:

a)

We assume free choice of vessels and carriers, as well as unchanged transport conditions at the time of loading or transport execution.

b)

The transport and shipment dates listed in the offer are bookable options at the time of the offer creation and, especially for the main leg, represent expected dates (ETS/ETA) and transit times. These may change at short notice.

FCL Loading

a)

Emptied containers must be returned in the same condition as before shipment, as per the terms of the respective carrier. Any additional costs for cleaning/repair are borne by the cargo.

b)

The availability of empty containers (pick up) and acceptance for delivery (drop off) at the specified terminal/depot or alternative terminals/depots cannot be guaranteed and depends on the respective carrier.

c)

Return of empty containers to the seaport as per the instructions of the engaged carrier is at the expense of the cargo.

d)

Provided empty containers must be promptly inspected for suitability upon delivery (possible damages, odor contamination). Any objections should be reported in writing immediately.

e)

Respective country regulations regarding maximum weights (cargo weight + TARE) must be adhered to. Exceeding these limits may result in additional costs and/or refusal of transport.

f)

Comprehensive documentation of the container’s condition (interior/exterior), such as photographs upon arrival and loading/unloading, is recommended as potential evidence for subsequent requirements.

f)

Goods must be securely packed to prevent movement during transport.

LCL Loading

a)

In sea freight, a weight/volume ratio of 1:1 is assumed, equivalent to a weight of 1000 kg per cubic meter.

b)

The offer is based on goods suitable for ocean transportation, stackable with a forklift, and with load-bearing pallets.

Special Conditions for Air Freight:

a)

In air freight, a weight/volume ratio of 1:6 is assumed, equivalent to a minimum chargeable weight of 166.67 kg per cubic meter.

b)

SIS Internationale Speditions-GmbH conducts inspections using X-ray technology. If X-ray inspection is not possible due to the nature, characteristics, or content of the cargo, follow-up measures to investigate potential hazards will be taken, including manual inspection (possibly supplemented by explosive trace detection) of the affected shipment. All costs of inspection and follow-up measures are at the expense of the cargo.

c)

Our offer is based on airfreight-compatible packaging, suitable for handling with a forklift and load-bearing pallets.

d)

Goods must be securely packed to prevent movement during transport.

Special Conditions for Rail Transport:

FCL Rail Freight

a)

The maximum payload (payload) is 22 tons per 40′ ft container.

b)

Loading of 20’DV containers is only possible in pairs and with the same weight utilization (+/- 500 kg).

c)

Die oben genannten Raten gelten ausschließlich für FCL-Sendungen mit einem Absender und maximal 6 HS-Codes.

d)

For consolidated FCL shipments (from one shipper) or shipments with more than 6 HS codes, a surcharge is applied per container.

e)

A photographic documentation of the loading is required as per the railway operator’s requirements and must be provided by the shipper.

f)

Please note that the compensation period for overdue transports is determined based on the different arrival times at various railway stations according to railway transport and delivery deadlines (starting from 60 days).

g)

Emptied containers must be returned in the same condition as before transport, in accordance with the terms of the respective railway operator. Any additional costs for cleaning/repair are borne by the cargo.

h)

The availability of empty containers (pick up) and acceptance for delivery (drop off) at the specified terminal/depot or alternative terminals/depots cannot be guaranteed and depends on the respective railway operator.

i)

The return of empty containers to other depots upon the instruction of the designated railway operator is at the expense of the cargo.

j)

Provided empty containers must be promptly inspected for suitability upon delivery (possible damages, odor contamination). Any objections should be reported in writing immediately.

k)

Respective country regulations regarding maximum weights (cargo weight + TARE) must be adhered to. Exceeding these limits may result in additional costs and/or refusal of transport.

l)

LCL Rail Freight

a)

The minimum chargeable weight in freight is 1 cubic meter; otherwise, the chargeable weight is based on the actual measured volume.

b)

Heavy cargo: Shipments with a weight (kg) / volume (cubic meter) greater than 450.

c)

Calculation of chargeable volume for heavy cargo: Weight / 450 = chargeable cubic meters.

d)

For shipments of 12 or more cubic meters of chargeable weight, only FCL loading is possible.

e)

For packages over 2 tons or with a length exceeding 3 meters, terminal costs must be separately verified and arranged.

f)

f goods cannot be stacked or stowed due to their nature or other reasons, the empty space in the container is billed separately (minimum USD 550.00).

Special Conditions for Courier Shipping:

a)

For courier shipping, a weight/volume ratio of 1:5 is assumed, equivalent to a minimum weight of 200 kg per cubic meter.

b)

The maximum weight per package is 70 kg.

c)

The maximum length is 274 cm.

d)

The maximum combined length and width is 400 cm.

e)

For packages weighing more than 25 kg, a pallet is required; these are part of the shipment and are included in the weight calculation.
